Egypt international Mohamed Salah has been backed by Brazilian superstar ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals which will be hosted by Russia.
Salah, who has impressively netted 20 goals for his English club Liverpool FC in the current campaign, has been one of the stories of the season so far.
His exploits have not gone unnoticed by the world’s most expensive player, Neymar, who believes that Salah could be one of the best players at next year's World Cup
"The most well-known contenders [to win the World Cup] are the usual favorites. In addition to Brazil, there is Germany, Spain, France and Argentina,’ Neymar told Globo.com.
"These contenders are highlights in any tournament in which they participate, right? I think surprisingly, Belgium have a great team, and Salah is well, is a great player and can make a difference in the World Cup," the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) forward added.
Salah played an instrumental role in helping Egypt qualify for World Cup for the first time since 1990.
He has also established himself as one of the best players in the English Premier League this season.
